Description
The dB Technologies Opera 15 is a 2-way active powered speaker designed for live sound and playback. It delivers 600 W RMS (1,200 W peak) of Class-D amplification through a 15″ woofer and a 1″ compression driver, producing a maximum sound pressure level of 130 dB. Its frequency response ranges from 50 Hz to 20 kHz (–10 dB), ensuring full-range coverage with punchy lows and clear highs.
A redesigned asymmetrical horn provides consistent sound dispersion, with horizontal coverage up to 120° and vertical coverage of +25°/–60°, making it effective for both front-of-house and stage monitoring. The built-in 56-bit DSP uses linear-phase FIR filters and 24-bit/48 kHz converters, maintaining clarity at any volume. Eight selectable EQ presets are available to adapt quickly to different venues and applications.
Connectivity includes two combo XLR/¼″ inputs for mic, line, or instrument signals, plus an XLR link output for system expansion. The cabinet is made of durable polypropylene with an internal reinforcement frame, a full front grille, and a 36 mm pole mount. It can also function as a floor monitor with its 45° wedge angle, and it includes three M10 rigging points for flown installation.
Compact and road-ready at about 18.3 kg (40 lb), the Opera 15 combines power, precision, and flexibility in a rugged, portable design suitable for professional use.
